Nathan Fillion launched his career as a television actor
In 1993, Fillion made his debut television appearance from a made for TV film, Ordeal in the Arctic. A year later, he received a notable role as Joey Riley Buchanan in television series One Life to Live, and also made his film debut through Strange and Rich.
In 1998, Nathan received another major television role as Johnny Donnelly on Two Guys and a Girl in which he continued to appear till 2001. The same year, he also portrayed Private James Frederick Ryan in the movie Saving Private Ryan, which turned his career. The film which was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” was a major box office success and it won five Academy Awards in 1999.
