Kari Byron is an American television personality best recognized for co-hosting Discovery Channel’s entertainment program, Mythbusters.

She was born in Los Gatos, California, on December 18, 1974.

In 1998, she graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Bachelors of Arts in film and sculpture.

She later went on to work in the shop of M5 Industries, an effect workshop owned by the former host of Mythbusters, Jamie Hyneman.

In the second season, Kari and two other shop members formed the second team in ‘Mythbusters’ called the “Build Team” or “B Team.”

The Build Team hosted their own segment and was called upon to investigate the plausibility of myths separately from the leading duo.

She announced her departure from the show at the end of the final episode of season 12 in August 2014.

Afterward, she along with Tory Belleci hosted Travel Channel show, Thrill Factor, in 2015.

The two also co-hosted the coverage of ‘Pumpkin Chunkin’ from 2011 to 2014 on Science Channel.

Likewise, she, along with Grant Imahara and Belleci, hosted a 10-episode Netflix series, White Rabbit Project, in 2016.

Kari also hosted the educational science program, Head Rush, which aired on Science Channel.

She made guest appearance in the television films, Rocket Ships and Sharkzilla & Large.

She is all set to release her book, Crash Test Girl, in 2018. The scrapbook is expected to be released on May 8, 2018.

She has garnered a massive net worth of $1.5 million throughout her career.

Kari is married to an artist, Paul Urich, since 2006. Together, the couple shares a daughter, Stella Ruby.
