In 2002, Mindy Kaling and her best friend from college, Brenda Withers co-wrote and performed the play Matt & Ben. Mindy portrayed Ben Affleck and Brenda portrayed Matt Damon. The play was listed among the Top Ten Theatrical Events of the Year by Time magazine nd was claimed “a surprise hit” during the New York International Fringe Festival 2002. Mindy and Brenda have also worked together for The Office.
