The third time seems to be the charm, both for Steve Harvey and his wife, Marjorie Bridges.
Steve Harvey was previously married to two other women before he met Marjorie. He was married to Marcia Harvey from 1980 to 1994 and Mary Shackelford from 1996 to 2005. He went through a nasty and public divorce fiasco with Mary.
Marjorie Harvey seemed to be in the same boat as her husband regarding previous marriages. She first married Jimmy Townsend. Jimmy was eventually sentenced to life imprisonment for criminal charges. Which, as you can imagine, put a dent in their relationship. Reportedly, Townsend became broken by her betrayal.
Her bad luck persisted as her second marriage also happened to another drug lord and criminal named Darnell Woods. They had a good relationship, but his constant arrests and drug dealing proved too much for Marjorie to nurture her children. So, she eventually divorced Woods after gaining custody of her kids.

How did Steve Harvey and Marjorie Bridges find love?
Steve Harvey and Marjorie Bridges had previously crossed paths in the early 1990s at the Memphis Comedy Club. At the time, Harvey humorously addressed her from the stage and said, “I don’t know who you are, but I’m going to marry you.” She immediately enamored steve, but since he was struggling personally and financially at the time, they lost contact.
But, as fate would have it, they met again after Steve’s second divorce in 2005. They dated for two years and finally tied the knot on June 25, 2007. And funnily enough, Steve cites his bodyguard as being the reason behind this matrimony.
In People magazine, Steve recalled the bodyguard saying, “Look, the only time I’ve ever seen you happy was when you were with that woman Marjorie. Now, before you go and do something stupid and marry another woman, I’m calling her.”
Marjorie shared the same sentiment as well.

Steve and Marjorie are parents to seven children, including their kids from previous marriages.
Marjorie has three kids from her previous marriages; two daughters, Lori and Morgan, with her first husband and a son Jason (reportedly born with the second husband). They eventually adopted Steve’s last name, making them a big happy Harvey family.
Marjorie’s oldest daughter Morgan is married to Kareem Hawthorne and has a kid. Her son also has a son Noah, and a daughter, Rose, with an American model named Amanda, making Marjorie and Steve officially grandparents of three.
