The Harveys are a blended family consisting of Steve's twin daughters and a son from his first marriage, his second son from his second marriage, and Marjorie's three children from her former marriage.

Steve shares his twins, Brandi and Karli, and son Broderick Jr. with his first wife Marcia Harvey, and younger son Wynton with his second wife, Mary Shackelford. Marjorie has two daughters, Lori and Morgan, and a son Jason.

After a decade of marriage, Marjorie and Steve do not share their own children but have been parents to their seven children for years now.

But their children weren't always on board with the idea of blended family. Steve told People, "I said, ‘Look, you don’t like it? Deal with it. I don’t need y’all’s permission.'" It was Marjorie who persuaded the children, "When you’re dealing with a blended family, everyone is coming from a place of broken...I just told them, ‘Everyone is included. Everyone has access to their parents. Whatever you didn’t have before, don’t let that interfere with what you can have now.’”
