Maria LaRosa's popularity skyrocketed after she joined The Weather Channel

Perhaps, becoming a weather reporter was Maria LaRosa's career choice when she was a little girl as she majored in meteorology in her college. She commenced her career journey by working as a meteorologist for the ABC affiliate TV station WTVM, where she remained for two years.

Her next work destination was Fox-affiliate WXIX-TV. Starting in 2000, she served there for next four years.  Afterwards, she joined Philadelphia-based TV network KYW-TV as its weekday morning and noon meteorologist. He remained there for whole six years from 2004 till 2010. Well, it was about collecting experience as a broadcast journalist to her before she could join major weather news network. 

Long awaited opportunity finally came to her when she was hired by The Weather Channel in 2010. She popularity skyrocketed after working as an on-camera meteorologist for the network’s weekend weather shows like Weekend Now and PM Edition. In 2012, she began running the new show First Outlook. At the same time, she also worked as a host of the show titled Your Weather Today.

She received further milestone in her career by anchoring other popular shows at the channel. In 2012 she filled in as a co-anchor of the show called Morning Rush. She co-anchored the show for two years. She also served as a segment correspondent for the show Wake Up With Al. In 2014, she served co-anchor of the show called America’s Morning Headquarters with Mike Bettes. Currently, she co-hosts Weekend Recharge with Paul Goodloe.

The popular media figure, Maria must be receiving hefty salary amount from her current work station, however, not any specific details of about her earning is unveiled. Nevertheless, few sources claim that she is receiving an annual salary amount of $150,000 and has collected colossal net worth amount of $800 thousand.
