Former Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler left the Lifetime reality show after its sixth season. This has by no means put a dent to her stardom. The teen dance prodigy has busied herself with more than a few exciting projects after her exit from Dance Moms in May 2016.
A couple of months later, Maddie appeared on the cover of Seventeen magazine and also talked about her decision to leave the show. “Leaving Dance Moms was a hard decision to make, but it was getting too stressful. Now, I feel like I'm so free,” she said in the interview. The pressure to be “the best in the room” got too much for Maddie to handle which prompted her shocking choice.
Outside of Dance Moms, Maddie is set to appear in her feature debut, The Book of Henry, in September 2017. She has also finished work on the French-Canadian animated musical film, Ballerina, which will see an April 2017 release in the United States.
Besides acting, she has also tried her hands in writing. The Maddie Diaries, to be released sometime in 2017, will be Maddie’s first foray into publishing. Her memoir will be followed by a trilogy of young adult novels which will be released by Aladdin Books.
This isn’t all that Maddie has been upto. The Sia protege even launched a clothing line called Maddie in October 2016. The line, which consists of bomber jackets, baseball tees, flannels, and high-waisted jeans, was inspired by her own casual style.
