Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has committed suicide at age 41. According to TMZ, Bennington hanged himself at his Palos Verdes home on Thursday. He is survived by his wife Talinda Ann Bentley and six children.
Chester Bennington had issues with drug and alcohol
Bennington had struggled with drug and alcohol addictions at different stages of his life. He was vocal about these issues as well as about being a victim of molestation when he was young.
The band’s latest album, One More Light, topped the Billboard 200 earlier this year.
Bandmate Mike Shonda confirmed the news on Twitter stating, “shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one."
