Famously known for his marriage with American actress and television personality Sherri Shepherd and the custody battle they went through, Lamar Sally is a TV and sitcom writer. As a writer he is renowned for his work in Rodney Carrington starer Rodney and It’s My Time to Talk.
More than being a writer by profession, his unsuccessful marriage with American entertainer propelled him to limelight. Sally proposed Sherri on December 2010 and a year later in 2011 the twosome tied the knot. Their nuptial earned such attention that it was even aired on television as Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married.
Their high profile relationship gained more media attention after the couple announced their split in May 2014. Two months later Sally filed for the custody of their child expected via surrogate. The case gained public attention after the actress claimed that she was forced to agree the terms to welcome their surrogate child and denied to be the child’s mother.
After several months of tussle the case finally ended in 2016. The court cited Sherri Shepherd as the legal mother of their son Lamar Sally Jr. The case was closed declaring that Sally will be receiving 4100 dollars monthly as child support.
