Katy Mixon is an American actress mainly known for her leading performance in sitcom series American Housewife. She has also gained notable attention from audiences by appearing on Mike & Molly from 2010 to 2016.

Born in a big family, Katy Elizabeth Mixon was raised in Pensacola, Florida with six other siblings. Mixon attended Alabama School of Fine Arts and graduated from Pensacola Private School of Liberal Arts. She received Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.

Katy started playing the lead character Katie Otto on American Housewife, an ABC comedy series, in October 2016. She has received positive reviews for her new role.
