Born on May 10, 1944, James S. "Jim" Abrahams is an American movie director and writer for his major profession. He has been married to his wife Nancy Cocuzzo till the present time.
Abrahams was born in Shorewood, Wisconsin to Louise M., an educational researcher, and Norman S. Abrahams, a lawyer. His family was Jewish. For his educational background, he has attended Shorewood High School. He may be best known for the spoof movies that he co-wrote and produced with brothers Jerry Zucker and David Zucker, such as Airplane! (for which he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay) and The Naked Gun series. The team of Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker (also referred to as "ZAZ") really began when the three men grew up together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He produced movies on his own such as Big Business, and further honed his skills in parody with Hot Shots! and its 1993 sequel, Hot Shots! Part Deux.
At present he has been married to his wife, Nancy Cocuzzo. She has been helping him with his work since a long time. They have together cofounded The Charlie Foundation To Help Cure Pediatric Epilepsy. Their marriage date has not disclosed in detail due to some unknown reasons but since they got married they have been spending quality time together. There is no further information about his family members as he never found willing to share his private life with public. He has been successful in living his personal life and professional life separately. His wife has no any complain from her side till the date, which means he has been fulfilling his duties and responsibilities at fullest.
