Jenna Lee and Leif Babin first met each other in the 2008 Navy SEAL Warrior Fund dinner, New York. Leif was the executive officer of a Navy SEAL team. He graduated from the United States Navy Academy and is a recipient of a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart for his patriotic service in Iraq.
The couple shared their wedding vows in July 2008. They got married in an antique chapel of Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. To many, the wedding ceremony was a fairy tale equivalent, where people have gathered to congratulate the soldier who conquered heart of a belle.
Giving a tribute to their first date, Jenna’s husband remembered: “When we started dating, she suddenly gave me a very serious look as we drove past a 7-Eleven and said: "There’s something you need to know about me. It could be a show stopper..." I waited curiously, wondering where this was going. Then she continued: "I LOVE Coke Slurpees." I made a quick U-turn and hit the first of many 7-Elevens to retrieve one for her and we haven’t looked back (or passed up a 7-Eleven) since.”
