Jamie Lynn Spears was thriving in her acting when the news of her pregnancy broke out in December 2007. Following the birth of her daughter in 2008, she moved to Louisiana, taking a break for her acting career to look after her infant daughter. She remained away from the media limelight before re-launching herself in the entertainment industry in 2013.

Jamie moved to Nashville in order to try her fortune in the music industry. Jamie, unlike Britney, was enrolling her musical career as a country singer rather than a pop singer and that created a lot of buzz in the industry. Speaking about pursuing her career as a country singer she said “I grew up in Louisiana and I think people get it confused. They assume that I lived in California or that’s where I’m from. I worked there, but I didn’t live there. Whenever I started writing music, it just naturally led itself there. As I started to tell my story, it’s where my home was. It’s just a very natural choice”.

Jamie released her first single titled How Could I Want More on 25th November 2013, which debuted at number 29 on Billboard’s Hot Country songs. Besides her single, she also combined with her elder sister Britney Spears for Chillin With You from Britney's album Britney Jean

Jamie released her first studio album The Journey under the label of Sweet Jamie Music on 27th May 2014. The album had five songs in total and was debuted at 193 and 24 in US Charts and US Country Charts respectively.  In March 2016 she performed in a concert in Nashville, accompanied by her elder siblings Britney and Bryan Spears, before releasing her second single Sleepover in June 2016. Prior to making a name in the music industry Jamie sang Follow Me, while she was on Zoey 101, written by her elder sister.

Since after kicking off her career in 2002, Jamie has proclaimed success with every task she has taken on. Adored by her fans, her career has helped her rise to stardom and assemble an estimated net worth of around 5 million dollars.
