Grant Hart left Husker Du in 1987, a few days after his bandmates Greg Norton and Bob Mould cancelled the band’s shows worried about Hart’s heroine addiction. Hart went on to form another alternative rock band Nova Mob. He also began his solo career, releasing his debut album in 1989.
