Classic muscle cars have been a part of the American dream since the 1950s and cashing that dream is Richard Rawlings, the owner of Gas Monkey Garage and the star of Fast N’ Loud.

Richard and his crew search for vintage cars that have been waiting to be brought back to life, after spending years rusting in abandoned back lots or musty garages.

Over the years, Gas Monkey Garage has overseen various builds that increased its price by two-fold.

Today eCelebrityFacts is bringing you the five best Gas Monkey Garage builds ever.

The first car on our list is the 1965 Mustang GT Convertible, which was built by the shop’s foreman, Jason Aker.

The ‘65 Ford Mustang was one of Jason’s past projects and features the classic look of a Mustang with its Palomino two-tone interior and light blue body.

This vintage car also has air conditioning which was quite rare back in the days.

Next on our list is the 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sport, which is owned by Joe Vaquero. This car has stayed in his family for a long time. His father owned it before passing it to Joe who was 16 years old at the time.

The car features 20-inch chrome original Dayton tires which include the company stamp on its rims. The 470 horsepower Impala also features the original interior that came with it.

Going further down the list, we have the 1980 Chevrolet El Camino, which was brought into the shop by its owner, Brandon. He reportedly bought the car on Brandon Street for the price of a thousand dollars.

The El Camino flaunts garage built transmission and blueprint Crepe motor, which can generate 450 to 600 horsepower.

The pro-touring 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport was brought to the shop by Allen Miller from Southern Utah. Allen actually spent 3 and a half years working on the car to get the red beauty on the road.

The home built car features GM connecting cruise, Scott Ridetech Coilover, Ron Sutton valving and a crate engine which can do about 130 mph on a 2.4-mile track.

The last car on our list is the 1975 Datsun 280Z 2+2. Though it’s the last car on this list, it is by far one of the best that rolled through the Gas Monkey Garage doors.

The crew wanted the car to have an old-school Japanese muscle car look. So, their fabricator, Jeremy changed the spoiler wing and also made a custom roll pan.

The 500 plus horsepower Datsun holds an SR20DE engine under its hood and features a SR 14 transmission.
