Dinah Jane is an American singer-songwriter who is one fourth of the girl group, Fifth Harmony. She made her debut as a member of the group in 2013. She is the youngest member of Fifth Harmony.
Dinah was born as Dinah Jane-Ilaisaane-Milika Hansen on June 22, 1997, in Santa Ana, California. Her zodiac sign is Cancer. Music runs in Dinah’s family as her mother and brothers are also singers. She has Polynesian and Tongan ancestry.
In 2012, Dinah auditioned for the second season of The X Factor with Beyonce’s If I Were a Boy. She was 15 then. After her elimination during the bootcamp stage, Dinah and four other girls Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Ally Brooke returned to the competition as a group act, which later became Fifth Harmony, and came in third.
Along with her group members, Dinah was later signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco Music and L.A. Reid’s Epic Records. Fifth Harmony released their first EP, Better Together, in 2013. It peaked at number six on the Billboard 200. Their first studio album, Reflection, debuted on the Billboard 200 at the fifth spot.
Fifth Harmony’s lead single from their 7/27 album, Work from Home peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016.
In September 2015, Dinah began dating football player Jarryd Hayne. Previously, she was in a relationship with linebacker Nela Otukolo. They broke up in April 2015 after Otukolo allegely cheated on her.
