Daniel Eugene "Dan" Butler is an American actor known for his role as Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe on the TV series Frasier. Till the date his net worth has not yet disclosed in appropriate numeric value due to some unknown reason. He is openly gay by nature. He hasn’t yet received any remarkable winning from his profession. But still he is counted among one of the richest celebrities of present time.
Born in Huntington, Indiana in December 2, 1954, 60 years Dan was raised in Fort Wayne, as the son of Shirley, a homemaker and Andrew Butler, a pharmacist. He has received the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship, sponsored by the Kennedy Center from Indiana University in 1975.
Butler is openly gay. He came out to his family when he was in his early 20s. He wrote a one-man show, The Only Thing Worse You Could Have Told Me, which played in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and off-Broadway in New York and was Butler's public coming out. The play had ten characters "just processing what gay means". Butler performed the show at the same time as he played the ultra macho character Bulldog in the first season of the television show Frasier in 1994. The performance was nominated for the 1995 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show.
At present Butler is married to producer Richard Waterhouse. He has been active in his profession since 1986. He has also appeared in more than ten TV shows as guest. Apart from these he has also appeared in many TV films and documentary.
