Connie Britton is the perfect fit as the 911 operator in the series, 9-1-1, and it would be unwise to let the actress go.

However, the actress has walked away from the show and is being replaced by Jennifer Love Hewitt.

As stated on season 1 finale of Ryan Murphy’s show, Hewitt will debut as the new call center operator in season 2.

Jennifer will play Maddie, the sister of Evan “Buck” Buckley, played by Oliver Stark.

The decision was made during the upfront presentation by Fox.

However, Connie, who plays Abby, may be present in a few early episodes of season 2, to make a seamless transition.

She also left another fan-favorite show, Nashville, in 2017, after appearing for five seasons.

She is currently busy promoting her new anthology series, Dirty John, which received two season order from Bravo in January.

She will portray Debra Newell, a single interior designer mom with a bad taste in men.

The first season will revolve around her relationship with the con artist, John Meehan, played by Eric Bana.

She is also set to appear in two upcoming movies, The Land of Steady Habits and Mustang
