Christi joined HLN channel in 2003, after shortly serving as a correspondent & host in Phoenix-based network KTVK. While working at the TV station, she created a segment with Arizona Humane Society that helped hundreds of abandoned animals to find their new homes in the valley. Her early work experience also includes as an anchor and reporter at Clarksburg TV station WDTV. Later, after having few work experiences, she joined Boise-based TV network KTVB. During her stint at KTVB in Idaho, she was awarded by the Idaho Press Club for her report about a four-year-old girl named Julianne Prudhomme who underwent a five-organ transplant.

During her working period at HLN, she has covered many major news events like President Obama’s 2nd Inauguration held in Washington, DC. She was also on news desk walking the viewers through first 5 hours of Newtown, CT. She likewise prepared an exclusive report on Hurricane Sandy and several presidential elections. In the same way, she has also taken an exclusive interview with the Vice-President Joe Biden.

Additionally, Christi is also an acclaimed author, whose book, Love Isn’t Supposed to Hurt, received a huge success, becoming an inspiration for many women, facing abuse in marriage or relationship. Many have thanked Christi for the inspirational book, which have motivated them to move on from their troubled marriages. The book isn't just to share her personal experiences, but through the book, she also intended to motivate teenagers and make them understand how beautiful the life is, if we close the bad chapters and start a new one.
