BBC Breakfast presenter, Carol Kirkwood is a household name when it comes to weather. Her eight TRIC Awards are the testament to that! The star weathercaster, who has a $5 million net worth, is a familiar face on BBC, appearing on several of its shows such as The One Show, BBC Weather, Victoria Derbyshire, BBC News at Six, and Would I Lie to You?
Carol bagged her first TV Weather Presenter award in 2003, the first year weather was included in TRIC Awards. Her second win came years later, in 2008, and she took home the award for the following year too. Her winning streak would start in 2012. After picking up the award, she said, "This is the jewel in the crown of a fantastic start to the year..."
Indeed, this was only the start of her run at the TRIC Awards. She received the TV Weather Presenter award in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2015, she beat fellow presenters Laura Tobin and Tomasz Schafernaker to the top.
After an overwhelming response from her fans on Twitter, Carol tweeted, "Thank you, thank you, thank you for ALL your lovely tweets. I am so thrilled to have won my #tricawards. Cannot stop smiling. V humbled"
The 54-year-old weathercaster won her fifth consecutive award in the March 2016 event at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. Hope she maintains her streak!
