According to her Twitter bio, Camila Cabello is currently spending her days “making an album” and it has come to light from her latest interview with Fault magazine that fans can expect her debut solo album sooner than later.
The cover-girl talked in brief about her upcoming new music, her journey after the shocking departure from Fifth Harmony and what’s in store for her as a solo artist, and also shared some words of advice for young artists.
Talking about her plans for this year, Camila said, “I hope to release my first few songs before summer.” She’s also hoping to release her first solo album some time “in the fall.”
Camila has already had success in her solo ventures, also receiving a nomination for Best Solo Breakout at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in 2017. Her duet with Shawn Mendes, I Know What You Did Last Summer, peaked at number 20 in 2015 and her collaboration with rapper Machine Gun Kelly, Bad Things, reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100. She also collaborated with Cashmere Cat for the single, Love Incredible, in January 2017.
While the Fifth Harmony girls are exploring songwriting on their album, fans can expect the real feel of who Camila is from her awaited release. “They are going to get a chunk of my heart, my experiences, my fantasies and everything in between,”explained Camila.
