Iconic British actress Audrey Hepburn was also a humanitarian. She was born as Audrey Kathleen Hepburn on May 4, 1929 in Ixelles, Brussels, Belgium. She was most known for being a fashion and film icon during the Hollywood’s Golden Age. She ranks third in the list greatest female legend in the history of American cinema by the American Film Institute. She has done numerous films over the year and starred in successful movies such as The Nun’s Story, Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady, Sabrina, Breakfast at Tiffany and many others. For her outstanding performances she has received almost all of the reputed awards like Tony, Grammy, Academy and BAFTA awards. As a humanitarian, she has devoted much of her time to UNICEF and was its Goodwill Ambassador. Unfortunately, she died in January 1993 of appendiceal cancer, at the age of 63.
