Alexis Bledel revived the role of Rory Gilmore after 9 years

Nine years after Gilmore Girls ended, Alexis Bledel and the main cast reunited in 2016 for the web spin-off, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. With this, Alexis reprised the role of Rory Gilmore, probably the best-known role of her career, which has not only pushed her to stardom but has also paved her way to gaining a huge net worth.

Beginning her acting venture as a theater actress, Alexis Bledel made her television debut by playing the role of Rory Gilmore in 2000. She was cast in the series’ lead role for all seven seasons until 2007. 

Rory, who was a teen student in the beginning of the show, ends up graduating from college, splitting with boyfriend Logan Huntzberger and getting a reporting job in the seventh season. Gilmore Girls was canceled after the seventh season. 

Nevertheless, writer/director Amy Sherman-Palladino made a successful comeback. The spin-off premiered on Netflix on 25 November 2016 and included four episodes of 95 minutes in average. The return of Gilmore Girls in a new form was widely appraised and received positive reviews from critics.

Alexis Bledel has won two Teen Choice Awards, a Young Artist Award and a Family Television Award for her performance in Gilmore Girls. Apart from this, she has drawn notable attention from the viewers from her performance in Sin City and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants film series. 

Bledel’s acting career has certainly earned her an immense success. In addition, her works as an IMG model have also helped her in adding to her fortune. Bledel is reported to have a net worth of $8 million at present.
