Adam Whitney Savage is an American industrial design and special effects designer/fabricator, actor, educator, and one of two co-hosts of the Discovery Channel television series MythBusters and Unchained Reaction. His model work has appeared in major films, including Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and The Matrix Reloaded. He is a prominent member of the skeptic community. He lives in San Francisco with his twin sons and wife, Julia. He has a net worth of $8 million dollars.

Adam Savage was born in New York City, NY in July 1967. Adam is best known for his role as co-host on the show MythBusters. His father worked on Sesame Street and Adam grew up in Sleepy Hollow. As a child he started acting and voiced characters for Sesame Street as well as helping in Star Wars special effects and appeared in a Billy Joel video. He then moved on to graphic design and working in theater. He worked as a model maker for the movies Galaxy Quest, Bicentennial Man, The Matrix Reloaded, and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. He became involved with the show MythBusters since it started in 2003. He is a co-host of the show along with Jamie Hyneman, as well as the show's executive producer. Savage is a prominent skeptic, questioning if claims can be reproduced and have empirical research. He married Julia Ward in 2002 and has twin sons from a previous relationship. He has a congenital condition which requires him to wear a hearing aid on his left ear. He was also the executive producer for the show Unchained Reaction.

Savage played the role of a helpful engineer in the 2001 film Ever Since the World Ended and the role of an army surplus store owner who sells a man a rocket engine for his pickup truck in 2006 in The Darwin Awards, which also featured MythBusters co-star Jamie Hyneman. He made a cameo appearance along with Jamie Hyneman on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on the May 1, 2008, episode "The Theory of Everything." In the "making of" material for The Matrix Revolutions, he appears in his role as a special effects artist and discusses some of the miniature effects used and the difficulties involved.
