About Ben Bass: Filmography and career synopsis

Ben’s keen interest in acting led him to commence a television vocation, appearing in series 21 Jump Street which was followed by a stage work in Angry Housewives. His enactment in Angry Housewives was so well-received that he earned a nomination for a Jessie Richardson Theater Award for a best supporting actor category.

Following that, Ben attended Theater School at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts & while in Paris, he studied at L’Ecole International de Theater Jacques Lecoq. After honing his acting ability, Ben relocated to Canada and started taking guest roles on the television which was before starring as a regular, playing Vampire Javier Vachon on series Forever Knight.

Ben soon became a teenage heartthrob, accumulating some loyal fans. In addition to his acting, he has also appeared as Petruchio & as Christian at Atlantic Theatre Festival in Nova Scotia & at Stratford Festival in Cyrano de Bergerac, respectively.

Ben then secured a lead role in a TV show called The Eleventh Hour, a part which garnered him a Gemini Award nomination. His next turn was as Sam Swarek in Rookie Blue which earned him nominations for a Canadian Screen Award in 2014 & 2016.

Ben’s film career includes The 6th Day, A Cool Dry Place and Bride of Chucky.
