Johnson II started Fidelity Investments and her father Edward C. Johnson III is the company's Chief Executive Officer. In 1997 Johnson got promoted to an executive in Fidelity Management Research. She was promoted to President of Fidelity Investments in 2012. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and serves as a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation. She married Christopher J. McKown in 1988 and they have two children. It is expected that Abigail will replace her father as CEO at Fidelity when he retires. Fidelity Investments is the second largest mutual fund company in the United States with just under $2 trillion in assets. Abigail Johnson is the fourth richest woman in the United States and owns a 24% stake in Fidelity.
